Q. What is the DST-Lockheed Martin India Innovation Growth Program?
A. The DST-Lockheed Martin India
Innovation Growth Program is a two-year, nation-wide project, created
to enhance the growth and development of India's entrepreneurial
economy. The Program is equally funded by Department of Science
and Technology(Gov of India) and Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company,
and was developed with the assistance of the Indo- US Scinece and
Technology Forum, the IC2 Institute at the University of Texas,
and FICCI.
Q. How can I have my project (technology) included
in the program?
A. Any Indian group or organization
with a promising new technology is encouraged to apply to participate
in the program. Complete the online application at www.IndiaInnovates.in.
Program participation will be based on a competitive selection process.
Q. What is the cost of participating in the
program?
A. The cost of the program is equally
funded by DST and Lockheed Martin. Participants pay for only for
their own travel-related expenses.
Q. Where will the program events take place?
A. Event locations and venues will
be announced shortly.
Q. What is QuickLook?
A. QuickLook is a technology assessment
process developed by the IC2 Institute that is designed to quickly
and effectively evaluate the commercial potential of technologies.
Q. How can I determine if my technology
is eligible to participate in the program?
A. Practically any innovative technology
is acceptable. See the Program Description page for more details.
Q. What is a "professional business
development engagement?"
A. Top selectees receive personalized
business development services from FICCI & the IC2 Institute
at the University of Texas at Austin. Professional business development
managers work with selected participants to develop and implement
successful commercialization plans, connecting them with potential
customers, investors or other partners in the United States and
other locations.
