Top 30 Selected Applicants of Lockheed Martin India Innovation Growth Program
New Delhi, April 30, 2007

FICCI jointly with the Lockheed Martin Corporation and IC2 Institute, University of Texas, Austin has launched the India Innovation Growth Program in February 2007. The aim of this new program is to accelerate innovative new Indian technologies into new markets in the United States and around the world.

As first phase of the program, FICCI along with the IC2 Institute, University of Texas at Austin has organized a three-day Workshop on "Commercialization Strategies for Techno-Entrepreneurs" from 23rd to 25th April 2007 in FICCI, New Delhi. The objective of the workshop is to introduce the Indian entrepreneurs to the commercialization process and prepare them to access global markets. Also top 30 applications have been selected from 100 technologies during this workshop. These 30 applicants will meet an international panel of prestigious technologists in July to compete for the Lockheed Martin Innovation Medal. Twelve medal winners will be awarded in all. These medalists will then engage in a global business development effort led by the FICCI and University of Texas at Austin. A list of those Top 30 applications is given below:-
